Payment terms: Full payment for duration of stay is to be paid upfront
and an additional deposit of AED 1,000 will be required at the time of booking
and will be returned upon collection. This is to cover any unexpected additional
days of boarding.
All bookings are inclusive of house food (Hill’s Science Plan)
Cat Boarding Environment & Comfort
- The cat condos are upstairs and away from the dogs to keep them calm and stress-free.
- The International Society for Feline Medicine (ISFM) has a Gold Standard for feline care in the boarding area.
- We provide cozy hiding beds, comfortable blankets, scratching pads, litter trays, and bowls for fresh food and water in every condo.
- The use of pheromone diffusers in the room helps the cats to be at ease while being less stressed and anxious.
- The area has climate control and is cleaned and sanitized each day.
- We pay extra attention to our sensitive and senior cats to ensure that they are safe and comfortable in our care.

- We designed our boarding especially for senior cats that require medication daily or for a long term.
- Your cat will be kept in a medical-grade environment under the care of our experienced nursing team and qualified vets.
- We give our pets their medicines and regularly check them with a vet. Also, we will monitor changes in their health.
Daily Care and Health Monitoring
- The medication is given by our trained veterinary or nursing staff according to your instructions and documentation on dosing and protocols.
- Every cat is checked daily for health (weight, appetite, litter use, behaviour), and all records are kept carefully.
- Owners are sent daily updates on their cat, including photos, videos, and health notes, to ensure that owners know how their cat is.
Protocol Workflow
STEP 1
Booking & Pre-Boarding Requirements
- Book your cat’s accommodation dates and let us know about any medical needs or medication.
- You need to present recent documents that assert that your cat is vaccinated for Feline Infectious Enteritis (Panleukopenia), Calicivirus, FVRCP, and Rabies, as required in the UAE. Vaccines must be given at least 7 days before admission.
- All treatments against internal and external parasites must be current. We accept proof of treatment at arrival, as long as treatment proof for internal parasites was done within the last two weeks of arrival, or external parasites was done within the last month of arrival.
- If your cat likes a different food than the one we use at the shelter (Hill’s Science Plan) bring enough that will last the whole stay. Food provided by the clinic will be charged at retail price plus a 10% handling fee.
- You have to bring all the medicine that would be needed for the duration of the stay, or consent for the clinic to provide more medicine if necessary.
- Vienna Vet receives full payment and deposit securely using a Telr link.
STEP 2
Check-In (Day 1)
- When you first arrive, our vet or nursing team will carry out a health check on your cat to ensure they are fit to board. This may include weight and body condition, plus a baseline stress-related assessment.
- Parasite treatments will be given if needed.
- Owners must supply all medications with clear labels and veterinary instructions. If your cat’s regular vet is from another clinic, please share their medical record.
- Please bring your cat’s food if it’s not what our house food is, or if we are on a vet’s food.
- In case of a need for medical boarding, a consent form will be signed for the cats.
STEP 3
Ongoing Care
- We will feed your cat daily, weigh him regularly and monitor his appetite, grooming and overall well-being. Medications will be given as needed.
- Your cat can expect plenty of attention and cuddles, plus gentle scratches and the best care possible.
- We send pet owners regular updates about their furry friend, including pictures, so that you can feel connected to your pet during their stay.
STEP 4
Final Day / Check-Out
- Your cat will receive a final health report of any weight changes, appetite, behavior and adherence to medicine during their stay.
- Depending on the length of stay, we provide complimentary grooming, including nail clipping, ear cleaning, and (partial) or (dry) groom.
- Any unused deposit amount that is left over will be returned to you after the extra fees the client wishes to apply are discussed and agreed upon.
